Before I’d begun building kits at 1:35 scale, I started with some figures and my first effort follows: The German MG42 team in Dragon Models' Afrika Korps El-Alamein set. While very well rendered, they required some sculpting and filling to get their poses precise. The open ammo box was not hollow as described in the instructions and the 'belts required very gentle reshaping to position accurately.
