3-5 January 1941: Lt. General Sir Richard O'Connor's Western Desert Force seizes the port city of Tobruk, takes roughly 36,000 prisoners, and pushes Marshal Rodolfo Graziani's forces west to Cyrenaica. 11 March 1941: President Roosevelt's Lend Lease Program begins providing its allies with war material. Here I imagine a unit of the British 3rd Armoured Brigade in an M1A1 Stuart light tank, which their crews referred to as 'Honeys'.

British armored battalions were formed under three types of tanks: Light, Infantry and Cruiser, and below we see a pair of Matilda Infantry tanks in action. While they were slow and lightly gunned, they were heavily armored, and highly prized captures by the Germans, who referred to them as 'Queens of the Desert'.

January 1943: Major Stirling (dubbed "The Phantom Major" by Rommel) is captured by the Germans and below I imagined Capt. Blair "Paddy" Mayne receiving the latest intelligence from a SigInt officer.

March-October 1941: Among the United Kingdom's many colonial forces, none were more notorious than the Australian 9th Division. Serving under General Leslie "Ming The Meciless" Morshead, they were tasked with capturing and holding Italy's port city of Tobruk, and proved to be quite effective at thwarting Rommel's efforts to quickly secure Libya.
